Experience a journey through the history of Tölz with all its special features from past centuries on three exhibition levels. Here you will find cupboards and chests made by the Tölzer Kistler, precious old traditional costumes and musical instruments, as well as interesting facts about the Tölzer Leonhardifahrt and much more. Thanks to changing special exhibitions, there is also contemporary art on display.

Tölzer Christkindlmarkt – Stimmungsvoller geht´s nicht

Dieser Markt gilt nicht umsonst als einer der schönsten in Süddeutschland! Vom letzten november-Wochenende bis Heiligabend verwandelt sich die historische Marktstraße mit ihren funkelnden Hütten und den verführerischen Düften in einen weihnachtlichen Festsaal. Ob Feuerzangenbowle, Bratwurst, gebrannte Mandeln oder Weihnachtsente, kulinarisch ist hier für jeden etwas dabei. Und das tägliche Rahmenprogramm mit den festlichen Liedern und Weisen der regionalen Sänger und Musiker macht die adventliche Stimmung noch glanzvoller.

Tölzer Leonhardifahrt – Geschmückte Rösser und viel Segen

Die Tölzer Prozession zählt zu den größten und schönsten Leonhardifahrten Deutschlands; sie ist Immaterielles Kulturerbe Bayerns und durch die Deutsche UNESCO-Kommission in das bundesweite Verzeichnis des Immateriellen Kulturerbes aufgenommen. Wenn am 6. november um 9 Uhr die Kirchenglocken durch die Straßen tönen, setzen sich die rund 80 Wägen in Bewegung – eine Tradition seit fast 250 Jahren. Auf dem Kalvarienberg findet an der Leonhardikapelle ein feierlicher Feldgottesdienst statt, bevor sich der beeindruckende Zug in Richtung Zentrum bewegt. Im Anschluss lassen die Burschen beim traditionellen Goaßlschnalzen die Peitschen durch die Luft knallen.

Advent is crib time - annual crib and crib trail in Bad Tölz

In the crib room set up next to the Franciscan church, a large, high-quality annual crib and 4 Christmas cribs from the Tölz crib association are on display in a permanent exhibition. In addition, the town of Bad Tölz and the Tölz Nativity Scene Association have initiated a nativity scene trail through the town center of Tölz. This starts on the first Advent (27.11.2022) and takes place until January 6, 2023. The route to the 61 nativity scenes is described in the Tölz nativity scene trail flyer. In addition, a poinsettia in the window of the participating stores indicates the respective nativity scene in the display. The flyer is available at the tourist information office and in all participating stores.

Blomberg – Wintergaudi für die ganze Familie

Ob gemütlich im Zweier-Sessellift oder auf einem der aussichtsreichen Winterwanderwege, es gibt viele Wege den Tölzer Hausberg zu erklimmen. Bei Schnee lockt der Blomberg mit seinen beliebten Winterrodelbahnen. Ab der Mittelstation und in der Nähe des Gasthofs Blomberghaus geht es rasant den Hang herunter. Wer den besonderen Kitzel sucht, traut sich auf die Schienen geführte Alpenachterbahn. Tipp: Samstags können nachtaktive Schlittensportler über die beleuchtete Winterrodelbahn sowie mit dem „Blomberg-Blitz“ ins Tal sausen.
