Benediktbeuern Monastery

In 1803, it was found by chance in the library - the Carmina Burana, which can be heard around the world today and has made the Benediktbeuern monastery even more famous. Founded around the year 725 - making it the oldest monastery in Upper Bavaria - the place of pilgrimage is the destination of numerous pilgrims along the Isar-Loisach-Leutascher Ache-Inn Way of St. James.
